We are pleased to welcome Sam Matz, MD to our team of medical professionals. Matz is a board-certified family medicine physician providing comprehensive healthcare to families and individuals of all ages. He has a special interest in evidence-based primary care, older adult care, women's health, wilderness & travel preparedness, substance use treatment, psychiatric care, pediatrics as well as end of life care.
Dr. Matz served in the U.S. Navy as an enlisted nuclear reactor electrician and submarine Navy diver aboard a fast-attack submarine. He later used his engineering degree at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant that specialized in cancer treatments and obtained his Wilderness EMT which ultimately sparked his interest in medicine.
Dr. Matz received his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon and family medicine residency from Riverstone Health in Billings, Montana.
