NICU Developmental Follow-up Clinic
Infants at high risk for developmental delays are referred to the NICU Developmental Follow-up Clinic after leaving the hospital. There, babies are evaluated at 6, 12, 18, and 30 months of age using the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development — a standardized assessment that checks for delays in growth, communication, movement, and thinking skills.
Our team works to support each child's overall health and development while also providing emotional support for families.
The clinic team includes a developmental-behavioral pediatrician / neonatologist, a neonatal nurse coordinator, a pediatric physical therapist, and a pediatric speech-language pathologist.
